Lower Cape Fear Hospice Meal Committee

Beginning in September this year, on the second Thursday of each month, the Calabash Elks will be providing a dinner meal for the Families of those who are patients at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center located in Bolivia, NC. This project does not involve our lodge’s kitchen or food from our lodge, but rather it is a group of individuals willing to provide part of a meal for 10 -12 people. Each meal would consist of a Salad, - an Entrée, - a Vegetable, and a Dessert.

 

I am organizing this committee on behalf of our Lodge as another Elks’ Community Outreach Program. Several of our members have spent their last days at this beautiful facility, and this would be a way of honoring them and giving back to a center that provides wonderful solace to their patients and their families.

Again, we are doing this only once a month, so it would be great to have folks sign up for at least one month. It doesn’t involve very much, and the rewards far outweigh the contribution.
