Volunteer Information: Richard McLean/James Rochel Memorial Charity Golf Tournament Committee

WHAT: Our Annual “Richard McLean/James Rochel Memorial Charity Golf Tournament” has been conducted each year for the past Twenty-Five (25) years, and is the Biggest Fundraiser of our Lodge, bringing in excess of $10,000.00/Year in Profits to be put into our Lodge’s Coffers to support our Charitable Endeavors. The Tournament is named after Richard McLean, our Lodge’s First Exalted Ruler (1984 – 1985), and James Rochel who started our Lodge’s First Golf League.

HOW: Each year, a group of many dedicated Volunteers, under the direction of a Committee Chairperson, Organizes and Executes a Full-Fledged, Professional, Charity Golf Tournament, with All the Profits Donated to our Lodge’s Number One Priority, - “Charity.” The Tournament always commands a Full-Field of 140 Players, and most of the time, there is a Waiting List.

The Committee’s Volunteers take care of every detail of the event, from – Booking the Golf Course, to – Conducting a Well-Organized Marketing and Registration Program, to - Soliciting Hundreds of Hole and other Sponsors, - to providing a Well-Stocked Goodie Bag, to – Arranging for a Post-Tournament Luncheon with a Door Prize for “Every” Participant, to – Conducting a Silent Auction during the Luncheon.

One does NOT have to be a Golfer to make a Valuable Contribution to the efforts of this Committee.
