Join the Elks!
Membership information
To be eligible for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a citizen of the United States over the age of 21 who believes in God.
To apply you must be sponsored by a member of the Elks Lodge and reside in the jurisdiction of the Lodge you wish to join. You will also need two other Elks who will be your co-sponsors. Your sponsor will give you a Membership Application to complete.
The completed application along with the current application fee will be returned to the Lodge Secretary. The Membership Committee will contact you for a brief interview and then report to the Lodge concerning your membership. A vote on your application will be taken at the next Lodge meeting.
An orientation meeting will be scheduled that you will attend with your spouse, if any. During indoctrination, you will learn more about the Elks and its programs and charities. You will also be told the date you will be formally initiated.
After initiation as an Elk, you can take part in all meetings and social functions of the Lodge.
If for any reason your application is rejected, you cannot reapply for membership for six months from the date of rejection. Interested in learning more? Stop by our Lodge for a visit! During your visit ask to learn more. Elks are often referred to as the 'Best People on Earth' and any of us would be happy to answer your questions and get you a membership application! For more information, you can also drop us an email.
